Janet came to the Ken Brown Professional Engraving Workshop in April, 2013. She had a good deal of experience with pen and ink, but also had a keen interest in learning another 'branch' of Calligraphy that she could put into glass, metal, and other surfaces. Below are her comments in a note she sent this morning.

Hi Ken! Just read your blog post. This year was the year that really took off for me as well. Last year I decided to focus on corporate accounts only (the only wedding work I do now is reception pieces on non-paper media) and my calligraphy & engraving business now supports my lifestyle. Thanks for providing me with the skills to make a living doing what I love!

Please know that I think of you and the skills that I learned from you EVERY DAY.
