THE KEN BROWN PROFESSIONAL ENGRAVING SYSTEM
The Ken Brown Studio sells no equipment whatsoever and STRONGLY ADVISES, for the most dependable, proven equipment out there, that his students use the same system he uses and knows well in case the student ever has equipment problems or questions.
IF YOU ALREADY OWN OR PURCHASE OTHER EQUIPMENT
When students already own similar equipment that may be adequate, that's fine. However, if there are issues with equipment being used for engraving his method, Ken cannot be of any help with equipment other than his system. New students are far wiser to use Ken's system that he can support. Students should purchase the system to arrive at their home and be there BEFORE THE ONLINE SESSIONS BEGIN.
ANOTHER BRAND OF DRILL
Even if you already own a drill, it is advised you purchase the PRESTO in Ken's system, so he can answer your questions about the tool.
Shown in the photograph are parts of the Ken Brown System, including two heavy-duty canvas, hard-frame cases for the full system, which are very portable, on casters. Included are the air compressor, foot control, hose, and quick-connectors from the compressor to the regulator shown at left. The 300,000 rpm PRESTO oilless drilll and holder are at the bottom of the photo. The clear, thick plastic hose from the regulator to the drill is also provided.. Not shown are two plastic cases with numerous items you'll use in the Workshop and in later engraving work.
NOTE: Your components may be slightly different from those shown here. Occasionally, items are improved or changed in appearance, but perform the same function as these shown.
NOTE FOR ONLINE STUDENTS. You should have your equipment ready to setup per Ken's ONLINE instructions in the first session. Plan your equipment purchase in plenty of time to have it ready for setup in the first class. Ken can also help with HoverCam setup when yours arrives.
